The "Lotus" Quartet for Old Urban Songs was created in 1980. In the course of its long-lived artistic activity, the group had performed at hundreds of concerts in the town, region, and across the country. From among its rich collection of prizes, there stand out the gold medals at the 6th National Festival of the Amateur Art Activities, 1st prize and Viewer's Award at the "Zlaten Kesten" ("Golden Chestnut") Festival of the town of Petrich, and Best Performance awards at the "Zlaten Kesten"-Petrich and "More i spomeni" ("Sea and Memories") of the town of Varna.
"Lotus" Quartet won the 1st prize at the "Mara Vrachanka" Festival of the town of Vratsa in 2005, "Ah Tsepelina" Festival of the town of Byala Slatina, and at the Festivities of the Old Urban Song in the town of Montana in 2006. Performances of the Quartet have been aired by the Bulgarian National Television, bTV, and "SKAT" TV Channel. It also took part in programmes of entertainment of the "Hristo Botev" Radio Channel and in the concert celebrating Bulgaria's national holiday in country's embassy in Moscow.
At present, the quartet continues its energetic artistic activity and enjoys the love and support of the audience.
